Cevado Technologies has served thousands of clients in the small business, non-profit, real estate, and author/publisher markets. The company began in 1996 as a one-person custom website design service, creating the tradition of individual and personal support that continues for every website we create.

By 1999, Cevado Technologies was creating custom program applications for individual websites.  One result of this work was developing editing tools so easy to use that website owners could begin editing their own websites.  American Author website owners benefit every day from this decision to put website control in the hands of the website owner.

Online data base tools were developed beginning in 2002, with the first major application being the online display of the multiple listing services on realtor and broker websites.  Cevado now serves realtors across the United States and Canada.

American Author was established as part of Cevado in 2005 with the intention of providing specific services for authors.  Experience with data base technology soon led to American Author importing Onyx data directly to author websites.  Our first partner in providing this service to authors was iUniverse publishing in 2006.  Since then American Author has partnered with Firebrand Technologies to use their Onyx feeds, serving over 2,000 publishers. Other partnerships include companies such as Outskirts Press, Midpoint Trade, Briobooks, FrontList Publishing, and Island Press.

Today American Author provides services across the publishing industry, from supporting individual author websites, to making it possible for publishers to finally realize the possibility of creating a website for every author.  American Author is also a membership benefit for the Small Publishers Association of North American and the Independent Book Publishers Association.

Cevado Technologies is located in Chelan, Washington, along the eastern edge of the Cascade Range, and at the foot of Lake Chelan, a 50-mile-long glacial lake.  Traditionally a world-premier apple growing region, Chelan is experiencing strong growth in tourism.
