| Webinar Outline - Keywords and Optimizing
In this webinar you will learn how to:
- Enter your site keyword metatags
- Use keywords in your content
- Get other websites to link to you
- Build traffic to your website.
1. Entering site keyword metatags: Metatags are the information that search engines can read from your website, but which doesn't appear for your readers. Your American Author website makes it easy to enter the information that search engines need, including keywords, site title, and site description.
2. Using keywords in your content: Search engines look even more carefully at the actual content on your website than they do at the metatags. Whatever words you believe people will use to search for your website, make sure and use them in your website content.
3. Get other websites to link to you: Search engines raise your ranking if you have more websites linking TO your site. If two websites have all other things equal, the site with more links coming to it will be considered to be more valuable and will be ranked higher.
4. Build traffic to your website. Search engines raise your ranking if you have more traffic visiting your site. If two websites have all other things equal, search engines believe that the higher traffic website is more valuable and will rank it higher.
