While you may print postcards to give away, or offer free consultations, the best freebie of all is one that costs you nothing to give.  E-books, newsletters, expert articles, and autoresponder emails can all be delivered automatically.  Whatever you choose for a giveaway gift should both enhance your credibility as an expert and raise interest in purchasing your complete book.

PDF files are one of the most popular ways to present material.  You can easily create PDF e-books or articles from your Word documents.  Think about what you might give away for free that your readers will value and that will draw them to the sale.
