Now That You Have Content:  Now that you’ve begun working on content for your website,  the next big question is how do you get visitors to come to your website? The World Wide Web is like driving in a city.  While it’s possible to get to every street in town, we’re usually headed for a specific destination. How do you make yourself a destination?  On the roads we drive, we use billboards, ads, the Yellow Pages, whatever.  On the Internet, there’s Offline and Online Promotion.

Promoting Your Website Everyday:  Publishing experts agree that a website should be the center of your author/publisher business.  Here are ten offline ways to drive traffic to your website.

1. Add your website name on your telephone answering machine message.
2. Print your website name on your business card and all promotional material
3. Print your website name on your book cover and your copyright page
4. Include your website name in your automated email signature line.
5. Mention your website in radio and tv interviews.
6. Put a bumpersticker on your car, displaying your website name.
7. Always carry a copy of your book, and direct people to your website.
8. Mention your website in every telephone call
9. Advise listeners at presentations that they can find further information at your website.
10. Submit articles to newspapers, magazines, and newsletters, and include your website name in the article and in your bio tag line.

Make your website a part of your life.  Update it frequently.  Evaluate it often. Tell people about it always.
