Password Pages lock selected pages on your website. Enter the username and password and the pages magically appear on your website.
Are you a writing teacher struggling to keep course content organized? Put it all on the web. Give students a password that lets them access the course they're subscribed to. Combine Password Pages with Multiple Users (standard with all feature packages) and you can even allow students to create their own pages for class comments or for submitting projects.
Are you an author working with a critique group. Use Password Pages to post your work on your website and give access only to your group. With Mulitiple Users create pages for comment and critique. Keep everything on your website and only passworded users ever know its there.
Here's how it works:
- Create the pages that you want to Password Protect exactly like you create every other page.
- Open Your Password Pages module. Each page has a lock icon in front of it. Click to lock or unlock each page.
- Add a group name. (e.g. Intermediate Course Material)
- Select which of the locked pages will be accessible to this group (e.g. Week One Reading.)
- Add as many users (e.g. students) to this group as you want. Each user can receive a unique user name and password.
- Create as many groups as needed (e.g. Advanced Course Material)
